episode 85 - we partook of cake

08-06-2017

shownotes will soon be at KnitBritish. Please take a moment to visit the website for full notes with links and images.

Today KnitBritish is sponsored by our Woolly Mucker Maylin Scott. Maylin in BlitheSpirit on Ravelry and I know KB listeners and friends will know her from her awesome interactions in our group and KALs. Maylin and I chat later in the show, so do listen in.

I visited Armley Mills for Leeds Wool Festival last weekend, and that was awesome. Whilst I was there I met our Woolly Mucker, Maylin and had an awesome chat with her for the podcast.

I also talk about Hawkshaw Sheep and Yarn and the new wool biz launched by Sue Horn, a small holder with a vision for single and special blend yarns from her own flocks. I also have a little play with her Shetland Aran for you, lovely listeners. If you are going to Woolfest you will see Sue launch her yarn there, she is vending for the first time and is bringing some sheep, including shetlands conker and bonkers!

The podcast will be back around Tuesday 21sr of June (just before me holibobs) and I'll be chatting with the Queen of Purls, amongst other things!
